Inspiration

I'm still working on posting photos and catching up after a terrific 2 week "vacation" to California. I feel very blessed and inspired for a variety of reasons.

The only blog that I follow at this point is Shin's Cancer Blog (click or use the link in the sidebar). Shin is my sister-in-law's sister and has been fighting cancer since 2005. I appreciate her candor and ability to shoot straight. She continues to be a supporter of www.isaacrides.blogspot.com but I'd follow her blog even if she weren't. Fact of the matter is that her blog is about 20x better than ours, but then again, we all need inspiration.

The other person that has recently provided some inspiration is another cancer survior - my sister-in-law Beth (different side of the family). Beth recently participated in an Amazon Heart Expedition riding Harley Davidson motorcycles along the California coast raising money and awareness around cures for cancer. It's not too late to donate to her cause either: Beth's page. Beth was actually en route when our family arrived in California and on the Saturday we did see her her two kids were wearing T-Shirts that read "My Mom Kicked Cancer's Ass". The best part for me was reading the BLOG and hearing Beth say it was one of the best experiences of her life.
