Recovery

The last week has been fairly quiet, but I've snuck in a few recovery workouts on the bike and even managed a 35 minute run yesterday. Everything seems to be in good order, but I'm taking it easy and following Jeff Galloway's suggestion on not going hard (fast) on the running for four weeks after the marathon. He suggests that at 14 days after the marathon, if all is going well, one can run up to 8 miles, which I think is possible. I'll probably try to run again tomorrow for 5 miles or so and then 6-7 on the weekend.

Between the reduction in mileage and the holiday season, I REALLY have to watch what I eat, which is difficult, because I'd gotten used to consuming mass quantities of food. NUTRITION is the word for 2008, so no harm in trying to get a jump start here in December!
