Strong Tempo and Planned Long Run

Had a strong tempo run on the treadmill in Napa on Friday. Warmed up with an easy mile and hit 7 miles at 8:06 pace (7.4 mph), kicking up the last mile to an 8:00 pace (7.5 mph). Cooled down and felt strong. No aches or pains.

Returned to the Chicago area from Napa late tonight, but I'm planning on getting up for my 17 mile run tomorrow morning. Here is the planned route (8.5 miles) which I intend on doing twice.

I used www.mapmyrun.com while I was out in Napa and again to scope out this route - nice tool!

I got some sports beans at the Jelly Belly factory in Fairfield, CA, so I'm going to try those out too!
