I postponed my speed work to Wednesday because we were returning from beautiful Bodega Bay on Tuesday. I went to the gym that my father uses, warmed up for over a mile, stretched briefly and hit 7 intervals of half mile distance at a 8.7 mph (6:53 minute mile) pace. I took about .15 miles rest between intervals, except between # 6 and # 7 when I needed a bit extra rest. I finished strong, cooled down and swam for about 15 minutes.
Tomorrow I have a middle length tempo run planned which I might do on the treadmill or might do outside - we'll see.
