Going Jogging

Early this week, we bit the bullet and purchased the BMW of "child carriers": the Chariot CX2 . This very cush ride converts from a jogger to a bike trailer to something you could pull behind you while x-country skiing, and so much more. We went out for our first JOG today - 7 miles around Tower Grove Park, and the little man enjoyed every minute of it. We purchased the CX2, because Mama really wants to expand the family. We also thought that lil' Isaac might want to hold hands with a girlfriend in the next few months and this two-seater is well fitted to accomodate multiple kids. Anyway, here we are, Papa and Son pre-jog.
The unfortunate discovery was that while it is safe to walk and jog, hooking the CX2 up to the bike as a trailer isn't recommended until the child is about 12 months old. This is a real bummer, as Isaac has been looking forward to accompanying me on training rides AND on the MS Bike Tour. It doesn't look like that is going to happen this year... but maybe Mama will have him at the finish line for a sweaty hug.
