Papa has been nuts about training and I thought this might be a good place to post some of his craziness. He uses this book called SERIOUS Training for Endurance Athletes by Sleamaker and Browning. SERIOUS is an acronym:
- S is for Strength
- E is for Endurance
- R is for Race/Pace
- I is for Intensity
- O is for Over-Distance
- U is for Uphill
- S is for Speed
Anyway, here is a chart of his last five weeks (first five weeks of 2007). He had a particularly good bike ride yesterday (on the trainer - 3 hours) and a great run today (80 minutes on the treadmill) - winter can be brutal. He's been doing a lot of yoga, trying to reduce the chance of getting an injury. Last year he hurt himself by not doing enough flexibility stuff - maybe they should add an "F" somewhere to the acronym.
