For most of you, the name Emma Snowsill probably doesn't mean much, BUT she was the gold medal winner at the Beijing Olympics for the women's triathlon. I recently saw her compete (on TV) in the first of the ITU World Championships (in Korea) and the commentator said that on the run, Snowsill's turnover (number of footfalls per minute) is generally 105. Mine is usually about 88. So, I am trying to figure out how to increase my turnover. Today at the gym I increased it to 90, but I have a lot of work ahead of me to consistently keep over 90 for 10+ miles. Always good to learn new approaches...
