2 Weeks until Memphis

Training continues to go well and it's hard to believe that the marathon is in just two short weeks. I've started the taper, with last Sunday being my final "long run". It was a 20 miler and I fell a bit apart during the last few miles - heart rate went too high and I had to walk / run. It was getting progressively warmer, and I'm convinced that contributed to the problem.

Nutrition has been good on the last few runs and I'm going to run 15 with Jeremy tomorrow.

Speed work and even my tempo runs have been a bit problematic as I feel like I'm getting shin splints when I speed up. Nothing I can address in the next few weeks, but I want to investigate ways to avoid this so that I can run faster in 2008.
